Hello,
I work for a television company called Firefly Productions based in London,
England. We are making a new engineering TV series for the Discovery
Channel and my job is to cast the two mechanics/engineers who will play
central roles, not as traditional presenters, but as part of an onscreen team
figuring out the various practical engineering challenges that will form the
main narrative of the show (more detailed summary below).
We need smart, mature, 'larger than life' characters with a quick wit and a
strong sense of themselves. Male or female and any age - must be Canadian.
I wanted to get in touch with bikers across Canada in the hope that some of
your members/friends may be just what I'm looking for. I figure that people who
own and ride bikes are often pretty resourceful types who know how to fix
their machines and may have other practical skills too, as well as bags of talent
and character :-)
I'd be really grateful if you could put the word out about this opportunity and
solicit some responses from fellas (and women) of all ages who think they
might have the personality and skills to help us with our show. If anyone
springs to mind, encourage them to contact me as soon as possible - we start
filming mid May, so there's not much time. Feel free to circulate my email
wherever you can! Many thanks.
Filming will take place in Nova Scotia. A competitive salary, expenses paid and
unique experience guaranteed.
