It is with saddness that I report the passing today of Angus Hawksworth, President of the Apple Valley Riders. White's Funeral Home in Kentville are having the visitation Wednesday evening from 7 - 9, with the funeral on Thursday at 2 pm. Angus was a great supporter of our biking community even from his wheel chair in his final years. We ll all miss him especially at the Bluenose Rally. show them that indeed we Ladies RIDE!. If you would like to help us out with this and come for

| NOTICE Street punishment is a Nova Scotian sport bike team that travels around our province putting on legal stunt shows, they have done the Digby wharf rat rally, as well as many other car/motorcycle events across N.S, recently they had the chance to travel to Ottawa to put on a event, last night on there way home they stopped in Quebec at a hotel for the night when the got up this morning their truck, 20ft trailer with all there bikes and gear was gone. They are now in Quebec with nothing but the shirts on their backs... these are a great group of guys just lost everything they have worked so hard to achieve, if there is anything you can do to get the word out it would be a great help the trailer is a 20ft freedom cycle trailer so it should be easy to spot, please call street punishment's founder for any more information you need Randy 476-3819 on behalf of the motorcycling community Thank you |
| Notice from a biker I just want to pass on that I was down at Perks on the waterfront today and a cop on a bicycle was ticketing all vehicles parked there. When I pulled up on my bike he told me I couldn't park there except on Thursday nights. He told me he couldn't get through there a couple of days ago with his car, so now parking tickets will be issued for the rest of the summer. He was ticketing a van when i got there,and as i left he started writing up 2 bikes that were unattended. So Bikers Beware! |

| Notice: To all those helpful bikers that took part in the FEED Nova Scotia clean up last Saturday. I would like to express my most sincere thanks to all the biker brothers and sisters and clubs that took part in the Food Bank clean up Saturday the 8th of March. The number of people that showed up was astounding and the "get the job done" attitude was fantastic. Quite frankly I am at a loss for words on how great I feel at all the help we had. It is safe to say that I am extremely grateful to you all, and no amount of thanks is enough. The job was not pretty, but everyone put in such a great effort - so good, the Food Bank could not keep up with us! I considered putting in all the names of the people that took part in this thank you but reconsidered, as some people might not want the recognition. So I will just put in the names of the Clubs that sent representatives in this much needed call for help. In order found on the sign-in sheet. Valley Shifters, Defenders, Road Dawgs, Gold Wing Road Riders Association, Association of Recovering Motorcyclists (ARM), Nova Scotia Bikers, Jokers Wild, Buffalo Soldiers and the Central Harley Owners Group (HOG). | There are motorcycles for sale on Kijiji - and its a great site if you are looking to buy a bike.. if you email someone and they are in Alaska or Timbucktoo.. and want you to send money.. that is a big fat red flag that someone is scamming you.. so beware and use common sense when it comes to buying a bike online... if it looks too good to be true.. probably is.. so dont send any money!...
